Just Do It!

Many people think it was Nike that first came up with the Slogan: JUST DO IT!  But, it was not.  The Mother of Jesus in John 2-1-10 saw a need at a wedding that she knew from experience Jesus could help with.  She knew when Jesus said something, it happened! She told the servants, whatever He says to you (just) DO IT! 

Because of His Mother's faith in the words He spoke, the peoples' needs were met.  Also, to meet the need, Jesus bypassed time.  Can you imagine how many years it takes to plant grapes vines, prune and maintain them, constantly working to keep insects away, then picking and process for bottling and distribution?

Jesus met their needs supernaturally.  Hebrews 13:8 says "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!"

I remember many years ago I was seeking The Lord Jesus about my life choices and seeking Him thru the Word and one of those days, a Scripture felt like it jumped off the page:  Hebrews11:8. Urged on by faith Abraham when he was called obeyed and went forth to a place he was destined to receive as an inheritance.  Verse 9 prompted by faith he dwelt as a temporary resident in a land designated in the promise of God though he was like a stranger in  another country.  It was so real to me I gave everything I owned away and JUST DID IT!  Because of the choice I made to step out and follow the Holy Spirits leading many lives were changed and are still being changed to this day!

How about finding what Words Jesus has spoken about your situation and needs and believe that whatever He says can be done for you too!  WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU Just Do it!

Diana Sykes: Faith Not Fear

I want to talk with you today about the power of having faith as the force and focus of your life, not fear.  The Bible says faith comes to us, which is the God kind of faith that will change circumstances to line up with your desires, by hearing God's Word.  The word for hearing actually means by hearing and hearing and hearing God's Word.  The great news is faith is a gift from God that He desires us to focus on and it is based on us trusting His character and His fidelity to His promises.  On the other hand, fear is motivated by circumstances, lies and suggestions of the enemy that attempt to provoke us to believe negatively, not by the Word of God.

Hebrews 11:1 says Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

It goes on to say that faith was the key or vehicle that people in the Bible we read about based their lives on and which caused them to experience so many victories.  They looked to God and His faithfulness to help them accomplish great things.

You know there are 7,000 promises in God's Word that He has given to us that He wants us to receive as gifts from Him.  He wants you to claim them as your own as well.  As I have written in my DETOX book, the Bible is a series of "priority letters" written that you need to open and receive so that your life will be enhanced and doing so brings so much glory to God.

The Promises are spoken of as exceedingly precious. These promises are Word Seeds that when received and spoken literally get planted and cause fruitfulness to be experienced.

One of my favorite scriptures is what Jesus said He came to earth to give us.  John 10:10 says He came that we might have life (everlasting) and have it more abundantly.  I did a word search on abundant and it also means superadded, overflowing, supernatural life.  Is that what you are experiencing?  If not, receive it fresh and new again and decree that if that is what Jesus came for you to experience, you are agreeing with Him and that will continue to be your confession as it unfolds!  Your life overflowing will bless others as well.

We also know in that same scripture, Jesus said the thief, Satan, had come to steal, kill and destroy. His name, Satan, means the arch enemy of good. If God wants you to be faith filled and fruitful, Satan wants you to be fear filled and living in lack.

So, choose to believe God's desire for you to experience His destiny and goodness for your life and reject the lies and lack thoughts and conversations that would allow things to be stolen.

Just like you take time for other things that are important for you to do every day, give God's Word first place in your life, sow His word as seed and watch your life become more and more fruitful!  Remember, in the beginning God!  You are His idea.  Do not let lies become bigger than the truth!  Faith will bring the substance of things you hope for!

Why do these book sell?   Because every day we are taking in products into our bodies with names and substances that we can't even pronounce.  We, our bodies, need a catharsis. 

I have written a book called DETOX: Spiritual Cleansing for a Fulfilling Life.  It was written to help you, as a born again believer, get rid of thoughts, lies and negative suggestions that have gotten into your emotional memory bank that are keeping you from receiving the blessings, spirit, soul and body, that your Heavenly Father wants you to experience.  It is about you understanding more fully the revealed love of God.  It is about truth!  Just like our bodies get full of toxicity and need cleansing, our minds get full of "stuff" that needs removing.  Do you have memories of wounds, hurts, failures, rejections?  Just like God planted a garden and amazing surroundings for Adam and Eve to enjoy and share with God, and they believed a lie about God through a suggestion that was made, we too can have our lives and God's great plans for us, altered by wrong suggestions acted on.  It doesn't take long, though, to reverse these situations when we understand the source of the lie and the lie itself, and remove it with the help of the Wonderful Counselor, Jesus!  God wants us to live truth, not lies, criticism, anger, etc. and remove toxic buildup from our soul.

This book was written out of my own experiences!  I grew up in a very dysfunctional family and spent my early years running just trying to find a safe place.  After becoming a Christian and studying and learning what great things God had in store for me and understanding I was here because God wanted me here, I began to release the strongholds of fear, rejection, traumas, shame etc. that had built around my spirit! You may be a doctor, CEO, a housewife raising wonderful children, but you know you need an emotional detox.

You can take the DETOX book and spend a few minutes a day and allow the Holy Spirit to take the soap and water of the Word and his revelations to you specifically and begin to get free indeed inside.

Hi I'm Diana I want to thank you for being with me today. I'm excited again about the teaching because you can change your world by your words, isn't that great news, there's a scripture then Jesus spoke lets just read it in Matt: 12:37. this is Jesus talking, this is the living word talking. For by your words he shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned.

Isn't it a wonderful thought that your very words can change your circumstances? I want to ask you to think about the words that you think about on regular basis, are these words of encouragement words that I can do all things, words that today's going to be a better day than yesterday because I'm believing great things about myself and what God has in store for me or are you talking negative and thinking the world's in such terrible shape that nothing good is going to ever happened to me and everything's going downhill and I can't make it.

If you're thinking and talking negative words Jesus says those words will cause condemnation to block you from moving forward, but he said on the other hand by your words you can be justified in other words those words will be like seeds that are sown that will go out and produce wonderful things in your life.

Enter Your Promised Land

I want to ask you a question would you like to enter your promised land. God has a promise land for every one of his children. There's a story in my book Power Thoughts that talks about the children of Israel.

God had prepared a promise land for them to enter and He told Moses I want you to choose 12 leaders to go in and spy out the land, just see all that I got prepared for you there.

So Moses did and twelve the leaders went in and they found this land flowing with milk and honey, flowing with these vineyards with these beautiful clusters of grapes and it was just everything that they can ever imagine having but there were giants there and you know when they came back to give the report to all the people they were waiting with excitement to hear what was said ten of the spies said look there were beautiful things I mean it was a everything I could have asked for but there were giants there.

They said you know what we felt like grasshoppers in our own sight and because of that they thought we were grasshopper too and so all the congregation listen to these ten men and to their negative report that there were great things but yet there were giants they just couldn't overcome it but yet there were two men Joshua and Caleb they seen the same thing they went in and there report was yes the land flowing with milk and honey you're going to love living there and yes there are Giants there, but with God's help we can overcome those giants.

 You know what's really incredible about this story all of the people believed the negative reports and they did not get to enter their promised land but Joshua and Caleb entered and were able to enjoy all of the benefits that God had planned for them because they did not listen to a negative report they gave a great report and God came on the scene with them and they entered in and they got to experience great things.

Ask yourself today what dreams and goals are out there that you have been believing for a long time, they're yours for the taking but it's important for you to believe that God is on your side that with God all things are possible so I want to encourage you today to think power thoughts, think I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and begin to enter into the promised land that you dreamed of and that God in fact has for you.

Imagineering:

Everyone of us has the power to imagine and have a vision for great things.

Proverbs 29:18 says, without a vision or an imagination the people perish!

Imagine means to form a picture or to think.

An engineer uses insights to scale or model a solution to a product or objective.

We are talking today about two different types of people who used their imagination.  One for selfish motives for glory for themselves and the other at the instruction of the Lord to carry out God's purposes.  But, they both used their imaginations to conceive and form solutions.

The people in Gen 11:3 wanted to build a tower.  God even said about them because they were one people that agreed or saw the same thing, nothing would be impossible.  Think about that!  What a statement of the ability man has been given.  These people, however, had their own selfish motives, not God's desires for them, and God came down and confused them.

On the other hand, God found a man named Abraham who used his vision to see what God wanted for him and we are experiencing blessings in life today because of his faith and imaginings!

Many years ago, I worked near an airport and I imagined myself flying all over the world enjoying God's blessings and ministering His word, and it came to pass!  At that time, it did not seem possible for that to come to pass in the natural.

Why don't you begin Imagineering great things for your life?  Write down your desires and make a mental picture of what you want.  God has dreams and desires He has placed in your heart that He wants to perform but He works with your imagination and words of faith to bring them to pass.

Hi I'm Diana thank you for being with me today I'm really excited about what we're going to talk about today with them and talk about mind calisthenics, do you know that to think means to exercise your mind you know were inundated every day with the Internet, TV, radio, conversations with all kinds of information and thoughts are running through our minds and we need to know what thoughts and what wisdom in what truth we need to except and which ones that we need to reject.

The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 this is what God said I know the thoughts I have for you thoughts of good, thoughts of a great expectation not for evil but to give you a future and a hope.

What is your mind full of today?  Confidence, assurance and faith that you are loved by God and given a way to live in the victory Jesus paid the price for you to experience as a son/daughter of the Most High God or, are you full of fear, shame, guilt, remorse and negative self-talk!  If you find yourself living in the latter scenario, you need a DETOX.  You need a spiritual cleansing so you can receive a fresh new mental attitude that daily will propel you into the destiny that God desires for you.  Ephesians 4:22-23 says, "And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind and put on the new nature created in God's image." There was a price paid for us to have a new nature.  God, through His exceeding precious promises, has seeds of greatness with your name on them as gifts that you must receive by faith.

It is a little bit like this. We live on a lake where our irrigation system is connected to the lake water... Every year we plant new grass seed and when it grows it looks so beautiful and well-manicured.  But, inevitably after a bit of time, we get clumps of weeds from seeds coming from the lake water as well as airborne substances that land on the grass and get absorbed into the yard.  Because of this, we pretty constantly have to uproot those weeds or we would have a yard full of course fast growing weeds that overtake the beautiful yard.

Our minds are like our yard. We need to Detox daily by pulling out negative "weeds" which come through being around negative people or maybe wrong decisions we have made are weighing on our minds and we are carrying around the ongoing pressures that are causing us to live a fear-based life rather than a faith-based life.  Jesus said He came for the purpose of setting captive people free so they can experience peace filled minds and to liberate those that have been bruised so victorious living can be the end result.

Realize that a daily thought check can help you maintain a fresh mental attitude and keep you heading in the right direction!
