POWER THOUGHT:
HEARTFELT PRAYERS AND DECLARATIONS HAVE POWER!
James 5:16 Passion Translation
…”for tremendous power is released through the passionate,
heartfelt prayer of a godly believer.”
Amplified:
“The earnest heartfelt continued prayer of a righteous man makes
power available [dynamic in its working].”
Prayers are powerful in God’s sight! Thank God we became righteous with His
righteousness when we accepted Christ into our hearts. When praying sometimes we have an enemy that accuses
us and tries to intimidate us because we haven’t done everything perfectly but
our prayers are answered not because of what we have or have not done but on
what He did and is still doing, which is answering prayers and watching over
His Word to perform it because of His great love for mankind.
Remember, John 3:16-17 which speaks of God’s unfathomable love
and reason for sending Jesus!
“For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever would believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but
that the world through Him might be saved.”
If we focus on this powerful word alone, we can have our faith
recharged knowing that if He sent His Son to die for us and take away man’s
condemnation, surely, He desires to listen to and answer the prayers of His
children.
In troubling times, we need our Spirit re-energized with God’s
truth. It is sort of like a failing battery, when it is hooked up to a power
source, it gets recharged and full of power and is then ready to be used!
In James 5:17 the Scripture says something phenomenal about
Elijah…..that he was just like us, yet
he prayed powerful prayers that caused nature to obey:
“Elijah was a man with
human frailties, just like all of us, but he prayed and received supernatural
answers. He actually shut the heavens
over the land so there would be no rain for three and a half years. Then he prayed again and the skies opened up
over the land so that rain came again and produced the harvest.”
So, God wants us to pray dynamic powerful prayers and these
Scriptures build our faith to know He is listening!
Also, as stated in Psalms 91:2 Amplified “I will SAY of the Lord,
He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God, on Him I [confidently] rely and
trust.”
According to this verse, what we say releases God’s desires for
us to be fulfilled! God wants us to say, declare, talk about, sing about who He
is in our lives, and be specific as King David was, and this will open the door
for His blessings to be released on our lives and those we love and pray for!
Faith is voice activated!
Scriptures are voice activated!
Psalms 107:20 KJV “He sent his Word, and healed them, and
delivered them from their destruction's.”
When we pray and declare God’s Word and Name, we are laborers
together with God. Do it today, do it now and see His Glory!
